SEAFOOD, the Second International Conference on Software Engineering Approaches For Offshore and Outsourced Development (SEAFOOD) was held at ETH Zurich, Switzerland at ETH Zurich, Switzerland on July 3-4 2008. The conference was a great success and a successor event will be held, again at ETH Zurich, in July 2009. Please watch out for announcements of SEAFOOD 2009.

Many thanks to all those who made SEAFOOD 2008 possible. The present site remains available as a source of information on SEAFOOD 2008.

About SEAFOOD

A profound transformation is affecting the world of software engineering: a massive transfer of development activities from the US and Europe to developing countries. The technical implications are considerable (see an overview article here), but have not been examined yet in any systematic fashion.

The aim of SEAFOOD is to examine offshore and outsourced development from a technical software engineering perspective. Topics include:
